THE DIVIDED FLATWORM
Pseudoceros dimidiatus, or the Divided Flatworm, is a non-paprasitic (free living) species of worm in the class Tubellaria and the phylum Platyhelminthes. It is an unsegmented worm, meaning that its body is not divided into segments (in contrast to the Broad Fish Tapeworm). It has a hydrostatic skeletal system, meaning it is a structure found in many cold-blooded organisms and soft-bodied animals consisting of a fluid-filled cavity, the coelom, surrounded by muscles. The pressure of the fluid itself and the action of the circular and longitudanal muscles work together to produce movement. This is characteristic of the Flatworm, aside from its colors which help ward away predators.
